Annual BAPT Conference 12-14 May 2006

This year’s Annual BAPT (the British Association of Psychological Type) Conference is taking place on Friday 12th May – Sunday 14th May at Harben House, near Milton Keynes.

The programme and booking form are now on the BAPT website

The main theme for the conference is a challenging but fascinating one – what happens when Type and stereotype meet culture and gender? How do they impact on each other? What can we do about it?

The renowned international author (Type Talk series) and workshop leader, Otto Kroeger is the keynote speaker. Otto will begin with an exploration of the links between gender, Type and temperament. We will expand the theme with workshop sessions on:
¨ Type and stereotype in the training room (Clare Howard, Dave Griffiths and Arti Kumar)
¨ Prejudices and beliefs: a forbidding journey (Paddy O’Keeffe)
¨ Type and culture from the inside out (Betsy Kendall)
In addition, on Friday evening, Steve Myers will lead us in some practical exercises to explore oppositeness in teams.

You will also have plenty of opportunity for networking, discussions and reflection ………..and we are arranging a light-hearted ‘fun and networking’ session on Saturday evening!

Pre-conference workshop –Friday 12th May
Otto will be leading the morning on the theme of Type and opposites. The afternoon will continue to explore the effects of opposite preferences with stimulating parallel sessions by Roy Childs and Susan Nash.
